Just like her father and grandfather before her, Jennifer is no stranger to hard work at an early age. Summers and holidays, she toiled alongside her family in building the business. After attending Lincoln School of Commerce and Wayne State, Jennifer returned to the company as a junior customer service representative. From there, she honed her management skills and operational knowledge through positions in virtually every department within the company including sales, manufacturing, shipping, human resources, finance and executive management. Since assuming the office of president in 2005, Jennifer has continued the company’s enviable record of continuous sales growth and innovation. Under her leadership, the company expanded its product line to include complementary safety items and marking paints. She also took the company global with sales to Europe, South American and the Middle East. Altogether, Jennifer has been with Blackburn Manufacturing for over25 years.
In addition to managing a successful manufacturing firm, Jennifer is an active member of various professional, conservation and charitable organizations including being the Vice President of the Pope John XXIII School Board, President of the Neligh Industrial Development Board, and Treasurer/Event Coordinator of Pheasants Forever. She has also been the Neligh Economic Development Board President, Antelope Country Club Board President, St. Francis Parish Council President, and is a currently licensed EMT. When Jennifer isn’t volunteering her time or dedicating her time to Blackburn Manufacturing, she likes golfing, flying, and traveling. She loves spending time with her husband, son, family, and friends.
